See Your Future View Before You Build: Pre-Construction Elevation Photography

When planning a new home or major renovation, a view can be one of the most important parts of the design. Before construction begins, it can be difficult to picture exactly what will be visible from a second-floor balcony, third-floor balcony, rooftop deck, or other elevated living space.

Quick Drone Services recently completed a pre-construction elevation-view project for a coastal property owner who wanted to evaluate the potential ocean view from planned second- and third-floor balconies.

Using a precise flight position approximately 115 feet into the property from the pavement, we captured east-facing images at two requested elevations: approximately 24 feet and 34 feet above the reference point. These images give the customer a realistic, visual reference for how the surrounding homes, vegetation, utility lines, roadway, and ocean horizon may appear from each planned level.

The results help homeowners, builders, architects, and designers make more informed decisions before finalizing plans. Elevation-view photography can be especially valuable when determining:

  • Balcony and window placement

  • Finished-floor elevations

  • Building height and layout

  • Whether a higher level provides a meaningful improvement in the view

  • How nearby structures may affect sightlines

  • The best direction to orient key living spaces

For this project, the images clearly show the difference between the two planned balcony heights and provide a practical reference for the customer’s design team as they move forward.

If you are planning a new home, addition, elevated deck, or coastal project, Quick Drone Services can provide customized pre-construction aerial photography at requested heights and viewing directions. It is a simple way to replace guesswork with a clear visual perspective before construction begins.
